Practical information

Loop circuit: This means an outing where you come back round to the same place as you started. The circuit is effected by just one means: on foot or by bike.

A to B circuit: here the start point and the end point of the outing are different. In such cases Safran organizes your return to the start point.

Daisy circuits: these are composed of several loop circuits starting and finishing at the same accommodation.

Difficulty: this is a relative measure of difficulty, but none of the circuits demand a specially high level of physical fitness. The scale id from 1 to 5, 5 being the hardest. It takes into account several factors - changes in altitude, kilometres covered throughout the holiday, and path and road surfaces. Warning: the difficulty scale is a simple indication which covers the entire holiday. It does not indicate individual variations in outings which may be more or less difficult according to the circuit concerned. The scale of difficulty does not take weather conditions into account, either. Great heat or rainy weather can render an outing more difficult to complete.

Organization of your holiday Outings are designed more with pleasant exploration in mind than any notion of sporting performance. Your baggage is transported by us from accommodation to accommodation and you will have the use of a roadbook for the duration of your holiday.We also ensure that you have logistical and technical support as necessary. During the longer holidays you change accommodation every two days, which permits you to explore your surroundings or simply take the time to rest and relax Safran has selected your accommodation - guest houses and hotels - for their atmosphere and friendliness, and for the quality of their architecture and environment. Hotels are classed by stars, guest houses by a similar system, number of "épis" (literally ears of wheat!!) Most of the accommodation is half-board. Picnics are available as a supplement, bookable when you reserve your holiday if you wish.
