A short transfer is planned in the morning to the hamlet of Amiel.
You follow a pleasant trail that gently climbs to the Suquets viewpoint, opening the horizon for today’s walk. The route, with its ups and downs through nature, is sure to delight. The medieval village of Pennes is a true gem perched above the Aveyron, where charming streets blend history and character. To end this day of self-guided hiking in the Quercy, cross the causse with the castle of Bruniquel in sight. An unforgettable experience!

Walk between Bruniquel and Puycelsi

From Bruniquel to Puycelsi, passing through Larroque, you explore charming villages seemingly frozen in time. Soon you enter the Grésigne state forest, a true haven of greenery and tranquility for abundant wildlife. After one final climb through the undergrowth, you arrive at Puycelsi, a fortified bastide perched on a massive rock overlooking the Vère river.

Walk around Puycelsi

Puycelsi feels like an outpost of the Quercy Causses. Walking through the old bastide, you uncover architectural treasures. The village is also known for its Conservatory Orchard, home to the hardiest varieties of fruits and vines. Next, you enter the heart of the Grésigne forest. The Audoulou stream winds through parts of the trail, bringing refreshing coolness in summer. A surprising walk amid the lush greenery of southern France.
