Program : The valley of Gastronomy by bike

  • D1 Arrival in Vienne

Vienne awaits, peacefully set along the riverbanks. Considered a birthplace of French gastronomy, it is an essential stop on any culinary journey.

You will stay at a 4-star Relais & Châteaux property, home to one of France’s most celebrated two-Michelin-star restaurants. Will you indulge in this exceptional dining experience, or be tempted by the property’s refined bistronomic restaurant?

To immerse yourself in the spirit of the river before your cycling adventure begins, we can arrange an additional night in Lyon at a charming 4-star hotel along the Saône—an elegant prelude in this magnificent city to awaken your appetite for the days ahead.

  • D2 From Vienne to Beausemblant

53 km stage - Low elevation gain - Estimated duration: 4 hours

Leave Vienne behind and enter a southern landscape of dramatic relief and sunlit slopes. You ride through one of France’s most prestigious wine regions: from Côte-Rôtie to Saint-Joseph, vineyards stretch endlessly along your route to tonight’s destination.

Your evening awaits in an elegant guesthouse set beside a majestic tree-lined park. Spend the night in a beautifully preserved 17th-century château, where refined comfort, warm hospitality, and a delightful table complete this idyllic countryside setting.

    .

37 km stage - Low elevation gain - Estimated duration: 2.5 hours

Follow the riverbanks through open landscapes of orchards and hillside vineyards producing Crozes-Hermitage, a rich and elegant wine. Pause at a local cellar to discover the spicy aromas of this celebrated appellation. For a perfect pairing, why not extend the experience with a visit to the Valrhona Chocolate City, where a chocolate-inspired lunch delights the curious and the connoisseur alike? A truly original experience.

Tonight, you arrive in the Drôme region. An iconic address awaits: an elegant 4-star hotel where tradition meets modernity. Choose between a refined bistronomic dinner or a full gastronomic experience for an unforgettable evening.
