Program : Multi activity tour in Drôme

  • D1 Arrival in Treschenu-Creyers (les Nonnières) in late afternoon

Arrival late afternoon in Les Nonnières.

Dinner and night at a 2 star hotel with a heated pool.

  • D2 Hike around the Vallon de Combeau and the Cascades du Sapet

Walk to Vallon de Combeau (≈6,5 km) and/or walk to the Cascades du Sapet (≈ 5 km)

From the village of Les Nonnières, you set out to discover a few of the many secrets that abound in this area…  In fact, there are two waterfalls along today’s walk. The first and larger of them is remarkable for its height, and the other for its geological interest.  If you’re feeling brave you might like to go for a paddle. The 2nd waterfall is located a few kilometres from the first. In the shade of the trees, why not make the most of this little wonder to have a bite to eat or just relax in the calm and serenity that seem to inhabit the place.

Dinner and night at the hotel.

  • D3 Walk from Treschenu-Creyers to Archiane

Walk to Archiane (7 km) + optional walk around the Cirque d'Archiane (≈+ 5km)

After walking up to the village of Benevise, you descend progressively towards Archiane by the GR93. In Archiane, you could enjoy a picnic and if you feel up to it, ramble along the ‘sentier de découverte’ (discovery trail) that gives you an opportunity to observe the soaring vultures that live in and around the Cirque* d’Archiane (*corrie – ring of cliffs).

Dinner and night in a charming guest house in St Roman (or Menglon).

  • D4 Bike ride around Saint Roman (or Menglon)

Bike ride around Saint Roman (or Menglon) (≈ 15 km)

Lovely day exploring the countryside at the foot of the Vercors. The route also takes you through the attractive village of Châtillon en Diois, known for its narrow sloping alleyways known here as ‘viol’, and for its nearby AOC vineyards. There’s a superb passage through the ‘Chemin des Vignes’ (the vineyard track) that wends its way between the ‘cabanons’ – attractive stone huts once essential for the workers in the vines and today the object of careful preservation efforts.

Dinner and night in a charming guest house in St Roman (or Menglon).

  • D5 Bike ride from Saint Roman (or Menglon) to Die

Bike ride from Saint Roman (or Menglon) to Die (≈15 km)

The route alternates between cart tracks and narrow tarmacked roads through a hilly landscape on the left bank of the river Drôme. There are lovely bathing spots along the way to Die. The Die Musée d’Histoire et d’Archéologie is a small but not-to-be-missed gem.

After the visit, taxi transfer to Les Nonnières to take your car for the end of your holiday (only the driver will go back to les Nonnières, the rest of the family can have some rest or bath in Die).

Dinner and night in a charming guest house in Die (or Ponet and St Auban).

  • D6 Outdoor activities around Die

Outdoor activities in the morning (except climbing, possible all the day) : you will have the choice between treetop adventure (from 3 years old), climbing (all the day - from 4 years old), water course or canoeing (from 8 years old - must be able to swim)

    Afternoon bike ride around Die
