  • D3 Walk from Obersteinbach to Lembach

    13,5 km with 310 m elevation gain - Estimated time : 4h45

Today we'll be crossing a large forest in the heart of the Vosges du Nord park.
We are on the Maginot Line (presence of bunkers...)
In the hamlet of Disteldorf, you'll discover a magnificent, typical half-timbered house and explanations of coal production at the time. You arrive in Lembach gently, passing through meadows and orchards.

  • D4 Walk around Lembach

In the heart of the Northern Vosges Natural Park, you can choose a beautiful walk along the Sauer River to the Fleckenstein pond. You can observe the many birds that have found refuge in this calm and restful place.

History buffs can venture to the remains of the Maginot Line, an impressive testament to the region's military past. (4 km) Culture lovers will enjoy an original trail punctuated with texts by local and Alsatian poets, an inspiring walk between nature and literature. (7km) And for a lighter outing or a family outing, the fun walk around Lembach promises a pleasant time. (1.5km)

A little further on, a climb up some unusual stairs will take you to the heights of Château de Froensbourg, from where you can enjoy a magnificent view over the valley. Then it's back through the forest to Niedersteinbach.
